Our background
Currently, cars are pretty much black boxes from which not much information emerges besides from often crammy in-car displays. Wruum changes this and lets the motorist utilize and trade the vast amounts of data that is actually present in the car, just waiting to be set free.
At Wruum we believe that the only way to get an idea from paper to product is to stand on the shoulders of others where possible and otherwise pioneer the way ourselves.
We have done exactly that, and in 2010 we built a working prototype of our concept – all the way from data gathering hardware to the analytical number crunching software – and from the real-world tests performed, we know that things work and can be developed upon.
Since then we have developed the concept and prototype further and we have put emphasis on developing the analytical and software architectural aspects of the concept.
The company is led by Thomas Peter Berntsen, who is currently also the managing director of Translucent ApS and OhNoWire ApS, and development resources are provided by his fine colleagues at the two sister companies.
Wruum received initial seed capital from Translucent ApS, allowing for the development of a working prototype (end-to-end) and Wruum is currently self-funded and without financial debt of any kind.
We are currently interested in capital investments which will enable us to expand and further increase our activities.
